2011 Chancellor’s Cosmetology Scholarship for Trinidad and Tobago


The Cosmetology Scholarship will be worth £1000 (for one year of study) towards the cost of tuition fees.
Hold a valid passport issued Cosmetology Scholarship by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and be paying fees at the international rate.
Have satisfied the following conditions:
a.an application must have been made for a degree course at the University of Kent.
b.the applicant must have received an offer of a place on such a degree course.
c.the University must have received confirmation of the applicant’s acceptance of the offer.
d.the applicant must have demonstrated ability to fund their study programme.

At the point of application for the Cosmetology Scholarship, you are asked to submit an original essay of between 750 to 1,000 words on the topic.Why have you chosen your selected degree programme; why have you applied to the University of Kent; and how do you see your degree at Kent preparing you for your life after graduation.All Cosmetology Scholarship applications must include your application number, date of birth and the 750-1,000 word essay as specified above.

Senior Fellowships Cosmetology Scholarship for Researchers, India


Scholarship Details:

This program supports outstanding researchers of any nationality, either medically qualified or science graduates wishing to pursue a scientific career in an academic institution in India. The candidates have to conduct their ability, an independent research project and a group have shown.

Details for doctoral studies:

You should usually between seven and twelve years have post-doctoral research experience or equivalent clinic. Is not essential to the graduates of the medical or veterinary doctorate must. Grant is to an applicant whose career has been affected will be made ​​for personal reasons.

2011-2012 Arts and Cultures Cosmetology Scholarship, Newcastle University, UK

Newcastle University School of Arts and Cultures,Newcastle University is delighted to announce 5 new East Asian Arts and Cultures scholarship awards. These are available for international students from East Asian countries (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong) starting their Postgraduate studies in September 2011 in the School of Arts and Cultures Each scholarship will have a value of £2,600 per year, payable towards tuition.
Eligibility: You could be eligible to apply for these awards if: you have been made a Conditional or Unconditional offer for a place on a Postgraduate degree programme offered by the School of Arts and Cultures. You have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes. You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic years. Applications for these awards cannot be made for a course that has already been started by a student.

Research Assistant or Research Associate Cosmetology Scholarship

Research Assistant salary: £26,860 - £29,850 per annum
Research Associate salary: £30,680 - £35,100 per annum
Fixed Term for up to 24 months

The Department of Computing is a leading department of Computer Science among UK Universities. It has consistently been awarded the highest research rating (5*) in Research Assessment Exercises (RAE), coming 2nd in the 2008 RAE, and was rated as "Excellent" in the previous national assessment of teaching quality.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for either a Research Assistant or Research Associate for the prestigious Innovative Medicines Initiative funded project on the Unbiased Biomarkers for predicting respiratory disease outcomes project (UBIOPRED). Central to this project is the creation of a Translational Medicine Knowledge Management Repository that curates and manages all of the project data and study findings and makes it available to all members of the project. Within this project the applicant will be responsible for the Knowledge Management Platform including developing methodologies, ontologies and systems for managing the Clinical, Biological and other Research data collected by the project.

To apply for this position, you will need to have a strong computing or engineering background. You should have proven knowledge and track record in one or more of the following areas: Bioinformatics and biological data management, Clinical Data Management, Semantic Web & RDF and Wiki technology. Additionally you will be required to demonstrate software development skills in one of more of the following platforms J2EE, AJAX and Oracle.

Research Assistant applicants will have a Masters degree (or equivalent) in an area pertinent to the subject area, i.e., Computing or Engineering.

Research Associate applicants will have a PhD degree (or equivalent) in an area pertinent to the subject area, i.e. Computing or Engineering.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to organise your own work with minimal supervision and prioritise work to meet deadlines. Preference will be given to applicants with a proven research record and publications in the relevant areas. All applicants must be fluent in English.
